Cycle, eat, tour … ITALY!

Tandems East has planned another cycling adventure to Italy and we want you to meet us there…

Where: The beautiful region of Veneto in northern Italy.

When: Arrival on Saturday September 6, 2008 with a homeward bound departure Monday, September 15, 2008.

Transportation: We are traveling from New York’s JFK Airport to Venice, Italy.

Accommodations: Our group will be staying at a three star up-to-date air-conditioned spacious hotel with wonderful mountain views.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The hotel restaurant specializes in home made pasta dishes, assorted grilled meats and pizza.

Cost: 185 Euro per day per person includes hotel, meals, rides and afternoon activities. Airfare, taxi services and transportation to activity events and activity fees if applicable are not included in the price.

All level of tandem riders welcome but it is always best to be fit and ready to ride.

Itinerary: Several levels of rides are out and back from the hotel to such places as Asolo, Brenta River Lake and Follina in the hills of Prosecco country. Also we will enjoy several roller rides on flatter terrain to Giro of Mt Grappa and the ancient walled city of Marostica, Nova and Refronto.

Our guides and hosts invite us for after riding excursions to visit several well-known cycle factories, the Castelli outlet, local wineries and museums, a ceramic outlet and plenty of shopping in Bassano.To top off an already fun packed trip we will spend one complete day in Venice..
